Globant in Romania presents an internship program for Young Disruptors who want to RE-THINK Code & RE-DEFINE Technology. This two-month internship program aims to prepare ten (10) young technologists for real-world projects and enables them to get mentored by leading thought leaders and SMEs.

The two-month program will include one-month training by our experienced trainers, post which the ten (10) selected technologists get a chance to be introduced to Agile Methodology, and become part of real-world projects.

Job Description

Ten (10) selected young technologists stand to be part of our best-in-class training programs, learn and then work in a professional environment:

Backend Development (Java) Internship

- Java Streams and functional features
- Spring Boot
- SQL and NOSQL databases
- REST API able to handle business logic
- Testing your own work through unit tests and API testing
- Git
- Docker fundamentals
- Agile Methodologies
- Implement code that communicates with different integrations

Mobile Development (Android) Internship

- Develop Android app using kotlin
- Android SDK and essentials of Jetpack libraries
- Simplify your data layer: LiveData, ViewModel, Room
- Write robust, testable code and wrap it using unit tests & UI tests
- Learn fundamentals of communication between client and server using web services
- Git
- Agile Methodologies

Mobile Development (iOS) Internship

- Develop iOS app using swift
- Learn the basics of UIKit / SwiftUI frameworks
- Create and display objects on screen or declaring the user interface and behavior of the system

Eligibility & The Hiring Process

Young technologists can apply if they fit the following eligibility criteria.

Computer Science Bachelor Degree Holder or Final Year Student

Amazing Problem-Solving Skills

Good English Skills (written and spoken)

Basic technical knowledge: OOP / SOLID Principles / DATA Modeling

Internship Program

Terms & Conditions

- The Globant Romania Internship Program is a pure internship initiative by Globant.

- Based on their technical aptitude, skills, expertise and performance, Globant may offer employment opportunities to the participants.

- Only ten (10) interns will be selected to participate in the Globant Romania Internship Program.

- The duration of the program is two (2) months ((July 4, 2022 - August 31, 2022). During this time participants will have access to a clear training and working agenda.

- The participant’s selection to the Globant Romania Internship Program will be made on the basis of the skills of the participants (mentioned in the Job Description) after which they would go through stringent selection criteria.

- Along with the studies in Computer Science all participants will mandatorily have to go through the selection evaluation process which could include an algorithm test.

- Selected participants will be entitled to be part of the program and will receive a proposal as a Globant Intern Temporary Employee.

- Training self-paced wherein a list of topics and reading material will be provided by Globant as part of the learning path.

- Although they are welcome to our offices, when the health conditions allow it, participants can connect remotely and do not have to travel to any Globant Romania offices to participate in the program. - At least 1 hr sync up with a dedicated mentor to address your understanding will be arranged for all selected participants on a weekly basis.
